Gaza- Hamas Peace Talk: US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that no major changes are necessary to the Gaza peace plan, as almost all parties support it. Speaking to reporters before leaving the White House, Trump said, "All the essential details will be finalized in a few days. We have very few options and no flexibility. However, some minor changes will continue. But Hamas' plan, I tell you, is amazing."

A historic step towards peace

On the occasion, Trump described it as a historic step for peace in the Middle East. He said, "It will bring peace in the Middle East and this will be the first time in 3,000 years. I feel honored by being a part of it. We have been working for this scheme for years. We took back the hostages almost immediately, and negotiations are ongoing. It may take a few days, but people are very happy with it."

The President said the plan is important not only for Israel but for the entire Arab and Muslim world. The White House stated in a social media post that positive discussions were held this weekend with Hamas and countries around the world (Arab, Muslim, and other) regarding the release of hostages, ending the war in Gaza, and bringing long-sought peace to the Middle East.

Netanyahu praised the initiative too

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also praised the initiative, saying he hoped the release of all hostages from Gaza would be announced soon. He stated that indirect talks with Hamas would be held today in Egypt to discuss ending the war and the US's new peace plan. Netanyahu said late Saturday night that he had sent a delegation to Egypt to finalize technical matters and aimed to complete these talks within a few days.

Strengthening America's role

Trump described the scheme as a move to meet the long-standing peace demand in the Middle East. He said that the consent of all the parties is important in the process of release of hostages and ending war. At the same time, Netanyahu's statement indicates that the conversation between Israel and Hamas may soon see concrete progress.

Analysts say that this step is not only important for regional peace but will also strengthen the role of America in the Arab and Muslim world. Trump's statement made it clear that the administration is insisting on implementing the scheme fast and satisfying all the parties.
